You can't find much on the internet about fish species in Myanmar. However, it is important to know what kind of fish species you can catch to determine what materials you need to take and what kind of bait you can use. The best way to find out is to go to the market. I walked a lot of markets and spend most of my time on the fish section. It remains incredibly difficult to figure out where the fish are caught or what species they are. The people hardly speak English and hand signals are poorly understood in generally. But it must be that the fish are caught not far from the market. So the best way was to take a lot of pictures to figure out what kind of species there are and that way it became a little clearly to me what is to be found in the water. In the photogallery below you can see for your self. I try to find names of the fish but that's not easy to do. If you know any names, please contact me in order to complete the names of the fish.
